While reports had streamed in earlier this year about A Perfect Circle reuniting, there were virtually no details or quotes to go on. Now it looks like the band’s comeback is all but set in stone. Messages on the group’s website as well as band member quotes have started popping up across social networking sites.
It all started last month with the news section of aperfectcircle.com being updated with a short message: “Stuff is happening.” This was followed three days later with another mysterious message that said “Subtle stealth movement. Keep eyes and ears peeled for clues thru all channels involving Ashes Divide and Puscifer.” More recently, the band has started its own Twitter account with two strange, non-revealing tweets. The first one said “It’s On” while the second read “Go tell Aunt Rosie… The old grey goose is dead not.” Basically, things are in motion for some sort of A Perfect Circle project. Good luck deciphering those posts to figure out what though.
And while Facebook and Twitter posts from the band members themselves weren’t any more enlightening, they sure sound encouraging. Founding guitarist Billy Howerdel tweeted, “The APC dust is shaking off!” and drummer Josh Freese wrote on Facebook, “I’m happy to report that A Perfect Circle is waking up from its six-year slumber and we’re going to be ‘doing stuff’ soon.”
As always, stay tuned for more cryptic clues and actual details as they’re announced.
