With the initial announcement of tour dates, we figured that after receiving a Pitchfork Best New Music, Bear In Heaven were just hungry to take advantage of the instant notoriety, ergo the long list of dates (and the remix album to boot). But with this recent chunk of dates (via the band’s MySpace), it may seem like they want to make sure every corner of the country sees them in order to hold on to said fame. Now that’s how you get your name out.
Following a couple weeks off after Austin City Limits on October 9th, the tour kicks off again on October 26th in Pittsburgh, PA. From there, it’s a pretty straight shot across the country, including stops in Detroit, MI, Grinnell, IA (party!), Portland, OR, San Diego, CA, Charlotesville, VA, and beyond. The tour comes to a close on November 19th in Brooklyn, NY, at which time the foursome will probably sleep. Or plot more tour dates.
