In 2008, The Ting Tings released a little album called We Started Nothing. A fresh take on everything pop and beyond, it appeased fans in search of the next big thing. Now, some two years later, fans are eagerly awaiting more (and not just news they’re working with Rihanna or signing to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation). Well, the wait’s over, as the band is now streaming “Hands”, the first track from their new album Kunst (the working title), on their Facebook page as of 5 p.m. EST. Thank God.
With an album recorded in an old jazz club in Berlin, you knew this one would have to be a club-friendly song, and this little slice of electro goodness is just that. As to what caused the shift in sound, lead singer Katie White said it’d be “so lazy and easy to make the same album twice. While the first album was a winner, if this is where things are headed with Kunst, we’ll totally start loving change.
Head here to stream the track and to download a remix. As always, stay tuned for more album news as it’s announced.
