When faced with the task of reporting on the Fun Fun Fun Fest‘s annual lineup announcement, the most difficult part is figuring out where to start. After all, the Austin, Texas based festival, which is set to run from November 5-7 in Waterloo Park, has once again dropped a bill that is nothing less than brain numbing.
Again, where do we start?
To quote one of this year’s headliners, there truly is something for everyone. New wave legends Devo, psychedelic rockers MGMT, indie heroes The Hold Steady, metal heads Mastodon, and the punk outfit Bad Religion top this year’s lineup. Plus, comedic mastermind “Weird” Al Yankovic will kick off the newly expanded Friday portion of the festival.
Told you.
Other acts set to appear? Gwar, Slick Rick, Deerhunter, Dirty Projectors, Best Coast and boyfriend Wavves, Man Man, Municipal Waste, Polvo, RJD2, and Valient Thorr. Recently reunited bands like The Gories and Snapcase are also scheduled to play.
Then there’s a bunch of hyped up-and-comers like Delorean, Jeff The Brotherhood, Indian Jewelery, Magic Kids, Toro Y Moi, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, and Big Freedia. Plus, because there’s some else worth mentioning, names such as A-Trak, Pharoahe Monch, Dum Dum Girls, Margot And The Nuclear So And So’s, The Dwarves, and Yelle.
I’m sure we’re still overlooking some, so for a complete look at the current Fun Fun Fun Fest 2010 lineup, click here.
Early bird tickets, priced at $112.58, are now available via the festival’s website.
