To be honest, Toronto’s super punks Fucked Up aren’t necessarily my cup of tea. Mainly because I fear a nice tea time with Pink Eyes or guitarist Concentration Camp would result in third degree burns, shattered china, busted windows, and a body being thrown through the table. But, since forming back in 2001, the outfit has utilized this energy to secure a devastatingly dedicated fanbase, capture Canada’s Polaris Prize, and collaborate with wide range of musicians (Jello Biafra, Ezra Koenig, Kevin Drew, and even Nelly Furtado.)
Fucked Up will once again be bringing this bedlam back on tour. Sandwiched between two European stints, the six-piece will be performing 11 U.S. shows. The U.S. tour begins September 5th at ATP New York, then heads down the East Coast with stops in Hoboken, DC, Atlanta, and the local Miami punk-gem Churchill’s. During the tour, the Canadian outfit continues their history with odd collaborations — a North Carolina performance with Public Enemy. A complete list of international dates follows.
