A wise man once said, “Nothing in this world is free.” And while that clearly applies to a Ferrari and gold-plated chandeliers, turns out that it also applies to information. And it also turns out that Jimmy Page, the guitar-playing warrior-king of Led Zeppelin, takes sagely wisdom pretty seriously as, according to Nightwatcher’s House of Rock, Page’s first published book, simply called Jimmy Page, will retail for an astounding £445 ($691). At least we understand how he’s going to pay for his legal defense (or that new material he promised).
Page worked with Genesis Publications, spending months sifting through countless photographs to come up with the final 650 photos and illustrations that should undoubtedly give insight into his rich life as a rock and roll god. The book will be limited to 2,500 copies worldwide, and each copy will, according to the Genesis Publications website, be a “leather and perspex-bound book, with its own silk and leather slipcase. Each hand-crafted volume is signed by Jimmy Page.” For that much, he better have signed with blood and deliver it himself. On a mystical white stallion.
Jimmy Page will be available September 27th, and you can pre-order it here. Word of advice: Wait for the paperback.
