Last November, The Weakerthans‘ frontman John K. Samson released City Route 85, a solo EP that told tales of a major roadway in his hometown of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Now, that series adds another lane of traffic with the September release of Provincial Road 222 (via PunkNews.org).
The album will feature the Correction Line Ensemble, a six-person pop ensemble that happens to feature his wife and fellow singer-songwriter Christine Fellows, and will be available as both a limited 7″ and as a digital download. Nothing in the way of album art or a tracklist, but we’ll have these for you as soon as they’re announced.
Provincial Road 222 is out September 21st via Epitaph/ANTI- Records.
