Kanye West announces G.O.O.D. Fridays

Thanks to Kanye, Cudi, and the unavoidable reality of hip-hop album delays, the prospects of a G.O.O.D. Music Day collapsed just as soon as they were announced. But, as we all know, Mr. West is both an innovator and stubborn, and over the weekend he announced plans for not just one day of G.O.O.D. music day, but in fact 17.

Via his Twitter, West revealed plans for G.O.O.D. Fridays, which will essentially see the Chicago based rapper release a new song every Friday up until Christmas. In case you were wondering, we have 17 more weeks to go.

According to West, each of the songs will come from members of his label, G.O.O.D. Music. “We look at the game completely different now,” tweeted West. “It’s about the fans. No more holding back.”

Despite the announcement over the weekend, West has already used the previous Two Fridays to release new songs, these coming in the form of the Beyonce featuring “See Me Now” and a remix of “Power”. Among the other songs rumored to be released in the weeks ahead include West’s previously announced remix of Justin Bieber’s “Runaway Love” and another remix of “Power”, this one crafted by non other than John Mayer.

We’ll of course post streams to all West’s new songs as they are made available. So stay tuned.
