Somalian-Canadian rapper K’naan’s ship has finally come in. His “Wavin’ Flag” was the anthem of the 2010 World Cup, topping the charts in several European countries. He’s touring hard this year, currently building on his Europe success before coming back stateside for some newly announced October dates. Full list below.
After a month of Canadian shows, the U.S. tour kicks off in Philly on October 8th and wraps up in Seattle on the 30th. A bunch of major-market shows fall in between, many at legendary clubs like The Fillmore in San Francisco and 9:30 Club in Washington D.C. All dates are on-sale now.
Charlotte, NC rap-rock band Paper Tongues open all dates except one (sorry, Chi-town). This is K’naan’s second American tour this year, following a spring co-headline jaunt with Wale.
