Over the last 12 months, life has been anything but easy for Los Campesinos!. Bandmates have left and been booted out, a couple others contracted swine flu, and a volcano wrecked havoc on their spring tour. Yet along the way, the Cardiff indie rockers still managed to shell out both a new full-length and EP, sat down with us for a third time, and even defeated the aforementioned volcano. Needless to say, a break is not only well deserved but long overdue.
Then again, Los Campesinos! never have seemed to quite understand what a break is, so it only makes sense that the band has chosen to sacrifice an opportunity for relaxation in favor of a new round of North American tour dates. The band’s travels will begin on October 8th in Toronto and will then see Los Campesinos! make their way south, traveling down the east coast and into Georgia. They’ll then hook a left, play three dates in Texas, and conclude their roadtrip on October 26th in St. Louis.
