Owen Pallett readies new EP on top of busy fall tour schedule

If you’re Owen Pallett, how do you follow up a five-star album? Well, other than a pretty intense fall tour with the likes of the Dirty Projectors and The National, you continue to put out material. And while his next release won’t be a full length, don’t think this virtuoso won’t continue to deliver his unique compositions on his new EP out in September.

A Swedish Love Story EP promises to be four tracks of soaring string work, energetic rhythms, vocals full of mystique and orchestral grace, and Pallett’s trademark vocal stylings; you know, all the stuff that made Heartland so wondrous. On top of a digital download, the EP will also be available as a 10″. See the tracklist below.

If you’d like a sampling of what’s to come, make sure to watch Pallett’s performance of “Scandal at the Parkade” from a show in Helsinki, Finland, earlier this year. A Swedish Love Story EP is available September 28th.

A Swedish Love Story EP Tracklist:
01. A man with no ankles
02. Scandal at the parkade
03. Honour the dead, or else
04. Don’t stop
