Charles Haddon, the lead singer of the English synthpop band Ou Est Le Swimming Pool, has died of an apparent suicide, according to NME. The incident is said to have occurred shortly after the band finished their set at the Pukkelpop music festival in Belgium earlier this evening (Aug 20).
Based out of Camden, London, Ou Est Le Swimming Pool have spent much of the summer touring in support of their highly acclaimed full-length debut, Christ Died for Our Synths, which was released last October. The album’s first single, “Dance the Way I Feel”, reached #10 on the UK charts. You can stream it below.
