It seems like Slayer is doing whatever they can this year to make their fans especially happy. After the Big Four got their collective thrash on a while back, now comes the time for a release. And while it’s not a new album (hey, you just got World Painted Blood last year!), it is almost as good: an all vinyl box set (via PunkNews.org). Yeah, we thought that’d get your attention.
The Vinyl Conflict will feature 10 albums (Reign In Blood, South of Heaven, Seasons In The Abyss, Decade of Aggression [a double LP], Divine Intervention, Undisputed Attitude, God Hates Us All, Christ Illusion, and World Painted Blood) on 11 discs. Each effort has been remastered and will be printed on 180-gram audiophile vinyl. As well, each album will feature its original artwork converted to 12X12 inserts. Enjoy a shot of the set in all its glory below. And if that weren’t enough, according to the PR Newswire, the band’s in-concert DVDs (Live Intrusion, War at the Warfield, and Still Reigning) will be released individually and as a box set starting today. Despite the beards and devil music, Slayer truly loves you.
The Vinyl Conflict will hit stores October 12th. The band is currently on tour with Megadeth and Anthrax on the American Carnage Tour through September 4th.
