The Greenhornes plan October release, tour dates

The Greenhornes have announced plans for several live dates to compliment their as-yet-untitled new album. The outfit, which features Dead Weather bassist Jack Lawrence and drummer Patrick Keener, are aiming to release their first new record in five years this October via Jack White’s Third Man Records, reports TwentyFourBit.

The tour kicks off with a hometown gig at The Comet in Cincinnati on September 20th. From there, the band will travel east, hitting Detroit, Nashville, and then New York, where they’ll play the Jim Jarmusch-curated ATP New York. (Fun fact: The Greenhornes helped provide the theme for Jarmusch’s 2005 film, Broken Flowers.) The tour concludes with a stop off at Scion Garage Fest in Lawrence, Kansas on 2nd October.

Be sure to check back for more album details and any additional live dates. Once we know, you’ll know.
