First established as the personal creative outlet for John Dwyer (Pink and Brown, The Hospitals) in 1997, Thee Oh Sees have since transformed into a four-member retro garage rock outfit. Currently comprised of Dwyer , Brigid Dawson, Petey Dammit, and Mike Shoun, the band will soon be hitting the road behind their latest release, Warm Slime. And if their live performance is anything like the 14-minute title track (which you can hear below), get ready for a raucous, psychedelic, live exploration.
Thee Oh Sees stick close to home to begin their fall tour, playing San Francisco’s Eagle Tavern September 2nd, followed by an appearance at LA’s FYF Fest on the 4th. The foursome then continue their way across the US during the month of September and into early October. Special stops include an opening performance at New York’s Central Park Summerstage for Pavement, a show in San Francisco on October 1st with The Flaming Lips, and sets during Scion’s Garage Rock Festival, ATP Presents Nightmare Before Christmas, and Bruise Cruise.
