New York trio Violens have already been around for a while, forming in late 2007 and showcasing their music with a self-titled EP in 2008. Since then, they’ve toured both the United States and Europe with their synth-pop style music, as well as worked on remixes, runway scores, and a seasonal mix tape series. And now, they’re finally coming out with their debut LP.
The album, titled Amoral, is set to come out on November 2nd via Friendly Fire Recordings and Static Recital. According to the band, the 12-track effort “ambles through pulsing dream-pop crescendos and epic washes of looping melody”. Sounds pretty trippy, though you can already get that sense by listening to the music they’ve come out with so far.
You can take a listen to the album’s first single, “Acid Reign”, below. Also, their seasonal mix tapes are up for free download on violens.net.
