On Sunday night, one month before the September 14th release of his solo debut Flamingo, Brandon Flowers made his debut solo performance at Las Vegas Hilton’s Shimmer Lounge. Spin reports The Killers frontman performed a 10 song, 45 minute set consisting of eight new songs along with a stripped down rendition of the Killers “Losing Touch” and a cover of Kim Carnes’ “Bettie Davis Eyes”.
Below, we have video of Flowers performing two new songs. One is the set’s opener, “On The Floor”, which Spin described as a “spare, slow-simmering number” that evolves into a “gospel-like hymnal complete with stirring backing vocals from a pair of female singers.” The other is “Hard Enough”, aka the song that features Rilo Kiley’s Jenny Lewis.
And just for kicks, we also not only included a clip of Flower performing the previously released first single “Crossfire”, but The Fillers — a Killers cover band — playing it as well.
