Swedish pop superstars Ace of Base have revealed the release date of their new single “All For You”, as well as a date for a new album – The Golden Ratio. The band will drop the single on September 10th in Europe, while their first studio album in eight years arrives two weeks later on September 24th. Details were published on the band’s Facebook page (via Idolator), where you can also stream a whopping five different samples of the the new single. Versions range from a radio edit to a remix by someone named Madhouse Monkey.
And yes, everything you just read is true.
Golden Ratio serves as Ace of Base’s first new album since 2002’s Da Capo. It will also mark the band’s first release with its new lineup, which includes original members Ulf Ekberg and Jonas Berggren. Vocalists Linn and Jenny Berggren recently left the band and have been replaced by Clara Hagman – a semi-finalist on Idol 2009, Sweden’s answer to American Idol where none other than Ulf Ekberg served as a judge. Again, all true.
