Update: No, it’s not. It’s just a song from Wilbasound, a band that sounds exactly link Blink-182. Go figure.
Speaking of Blink-182, Antiquiet points to a recently leaked stream of “Up All Night”, the long rumored new single from the pop-punk rockers. Yes, in between Mark Hoppus’ new TV gig, Travis Barker’s upcoming solo album, and Tom DeLonge’s attempt to save the music industry, Blink-182 have indeed managed to record their first new material since 2003.
The track, which is believed to be the first single off the band’s still untitled new studio album, sounds like classic Blink-182. That’s sort of a cop out description I suppose, but since elements of Angles and Airwaves style arena rock and bass and drum music are also said to be included on the new album, I think you can see what I’m getting at. The old school fans, who are probably pushing 38 these days, will likely rejoice upon listening to the four-minute number.
According to Wikipedia, Blink-182’s sixth studio album is due for release in spring 2011. Take or leave it, but at we now know it’s a reality. You know, because Strokes fans can’t say the same.
