GWAR announce new album, Bloody Pit of Horror

Shock-rockers GWAR recently reached the halfway point of their 25th anniversary “Slay-A-Bration” tour and came to the following conclusing: there’s no better time to release a new album than right now.

That’s right, even though their last record, Lust In Space, came out just last year, the Richmond, VA based band is back with their 12th studio LP. Bloody Pit of Horror will arrive on November 9th through Metal Blade Records.

Not only is there a new album on the way, but a whole new production will arrive for their “Bloody Tour of Horror.” What can we expect this time? Well, with his usual tact and grace, frontman Oderus Urungus filled us in.

“This year sees no end to the torment, and delight, we shall heap upon you ungrateful slobs. Our new album has got some of the heaviest shit we have ever played, and our show is packed with brand-new, never-seen-before acts of violence, bestiality, and political in-correctness. I don’t want to spoil anything…wait, yes I do!  We are chopping Sarah Palin’s tits off and feeding them to Gor-Gor, if he will have them!”

….we really have nothing to add to that statement.

The tour will start in Baltimore on October 2nd, lasting for three months and a few dozen dates before ending in Minneapolis on December 6th. This will be followed by a short trek in Australia and New Zealand. Tickets are currently on sale at Ticketmaster.com.

If you go, watch out for the blood-splash zones!
