Hear another new Smashing Pumpkins song, “Spangled”

“Spangled”, which follows “A Song for a Son”, “Widow Wake My Mind”, “A Stitch in Time”, “Astral Planes”, and “Freak” as the sixth song to be unveiled from The Smashing Pumpkins’ epic project Teargarden by Kaleidyscope, is described by lead Pumpkin Bill Corgan as “just a pretty song.” A Beatles influenced, psychedelic rocker might be a better description, but you can make your own call by downloading it at Sweet Relief Musicians Fund’s website. The non-profit organization, which provides financial assistance to musicians struggling with illness and disability, is offering “Spangled” as a free download for one day only. After that, you can grab it via the band’s website.

Just make sure you tag it as Smashing Pumpkins on iTunes. Otherwise, Billy will come for you.
