Some argue Lady Gaga is completely diluting her marketing appeal by choosing more studio albums and touring over a well-deserved break which her label could then use to tout a big comeback. There’s a point where the consumer can’t handle any more, her critics say. They’ll become immune to the Gaga.
It remains to be seen who is right and who is wrong, but all I know is Gaga continues to announce more and more and more tour dates behind her newly announced third studio album. She also continues to influence and inspire, and that goes beyond her Little Monsters. She’s even got indie bands clamoring over her. Case in point, the Klaxons cover of “Bad Romance”, which was recorded during the band’s recent stop at Australian radio program Like a Version.
