The Dismemberment Plan announce reunion tour

    Update: The Dismemberment Plan have added a Chicago date to their mini tour as well. The A.V. Club Chicago reports that the band will be playing The Metro February 19th, 2011. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, October 1st. The band has also added an additional Webster Hall date Janurary 30th, for which there are still tickets available.

    So A Perfect Circle is touring the west coast and The Dismemberment Plan just announced a reunion tour of the east coast? Man, at least you mid-westers are good at festivals. Anyhow, yes, DC post-punk outfit The Dismemberment Plan are reuniting this winter for their first live performances in seven three years. According to The Washington Post, they’ll be hitting DC, Philadelphia, Boston, and New York in support of the forthcoming reissue of their 1999 classic Emergency & I, due 1/11 as a double LP via Barsuk. A new record isn’t planned, but Eric Axelson tells the Post, “…we’re doing these shows and taking it day to day after that.” So stay tuned.
