Watch: Via Audio – “Digital” (CoS Premiere)

We kicked off your ho-hum work week with an exclusive look at some updated glam from Brooklyn’s Vivian Girls, so it’s only fitting that we start your weekend early with a seriously danceable track from another band that calls New York City’s most creative borough home. Just check out this hilarious, Jessica Martins-produced, video for “Digital” from Via Audio’s sophomore release, Animalore.

The clip opens with an introduction to various musical instruments before guitarist/vocalist – “Dr.” Thomas Deis – appears on the screen and dishes out lyrics intended to smash your view of reality into itty-bitty pieces. The song is a lo-fi nugget of electronic noise and sound that is guaranteed to make you want to spontaneously dance in your cubicle, and hearing Deis poke fun at Auto-Tune with lines about not having to sing his notes on key because “a robot sings it right for me” is hilarious.

What’s even more awesome is that the Brooklyn-based quartet is taking the Jim Eno-produced album on the road. Their 10-date mini-tour with Jukebox the Ghost kicked off last night in Beantown and ends at Frisco, Texas’ Oysterfest on September 25th. Tickets for select dates are now available on Ticketmaster.com, and the video is available below.
