While it may have taken his entire career (actually, just 40 months), Big Boi finally unveiled his debut solo album earlier this year. Seems like the experience agreed with the Atlanta MC and, in a recent interview with the LA Times (via HipHopDX), one-half of Outkast said he could be pounding out two more albums for Def Jam in the near future.
So far, Big Boi’s already got a title for album No. 2: Daddy Fat Sacks: Soul Funk Crusader, but there’s no word on when it will see light. While you might be right in fearing that this solo album could be just as delayed as the first, Big Boi explained Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty would’ve been out in some two years had Jive originally not found his songs “too artsy and too different.” Cause no one likes that.
Big Boi also added that the long-awaited new Outkast album is still in the works, but won’t see light until his cohort, Andre 3000, releases his own solo album. Thank god for touring; you can find Big Boi’s upcoming dates below.
