The most epic road trip you’ve taken is straight up unsalted peanuts compared to 40 Nights of Rock & Roll. Steve LaBate and Scott Sloan hopped in their Jeep, drove around the US of A, and interviewed 40 bands in 40 nights to try to place their curious fingers on the pulse of music in America. Below is the first teaser trailer from the movie, due out in 2011.
In it you’ll find a litany of musicians including Jonsi, Damien Jurado, Eugene Mirman, Of Montreal, and Paul Westerberg, pictured right, playing a song on acoustic guitar at an empty ballpark. God I hope it’s The Star Spangled Banner.
