When we normally offer up a premiere, we try to offer you up something new to make you question your tastes and add something new and previously unfound into the mix. While that’s all well and good, with “Be True To Your School (Til You Get Kicked Out)” from The White Wires, we just want you to rock out. And rock out you will.
The group is straight up garage rock in the vain of other acts from Dirtnap Records (Exploding Hearts, the Briefs). So if that kind of all-out power pop with a steady, rocking edge is your thing, then this Canadian band is going to be right up your alley. If this kick to the face gets you begging for more, the beach-y, sugar high that is the remainder of the album should continue to pummel you to your heart’s content long into next year.
