For those unaware, Class Actress is a Brooklyn electro-pop outfit that unashamedly channels the spirit of early Madonna, Depeche Mode, and Human League. In other words, their currently ongoing North American tour will be a good opportunity to get your groove on.
The band, comprised of singer-songwriter Elizabeth Harper and producers Scott Rosenthal and Mark Richardson, are currently out on the road. The tour is in support of their debut EP, Journal of Ardency, out now on Terrible Records (owned by Chris Taylor of Grizzly Bear and Ethan Silverman).
The tour, which comes in support of the band’s recently released debut EP Journal of Ardency, will feature dates with Small Black, Delorean, and Matthew Dear among others and will take in such diverse places as Buffalo, NY, Missoula, MT, and Middlebury, VT, as well as the usual suspects New York, Dallas, Toronto, and Denver. The tour wraps at Great Scott in Allston, MA, on November 21st.
As a special treat for fans, an extended version of Journal of Ardency will be made available on CD at all dates, as well as digitally. Included on the extended EP will be the band’s cover of Neon Indian’s “Terminally Chill”.
Be sure to check out the dates below, and head over to Ticketmaster, where you can pick up tickets for select dates. Also check out the official video for “Journal of Ardency”.
