Welcome to October, ladies and gentlemen. TV is in full swing, with many of your favorite shows back for brand new seasons. And do you think the guys in late night are gonna let sitcoms one-up them? No way. Well, maybe Jay Leno, but that’s a story for another time.
This week’s looking fantastic with indie performances and the late night television debut of Gorillaz! Thank you David Letterman’s booking team. Also, Gayngs will be visiting Jimmy Fallon, which could really mean anyone might show up as the band is a collection of 23 musicians (Justin Vernon and Mike Noyce of Bon Iver, and Doomtree rappers P.O.S. and Dessa) – needless to say, you should probably watch. Other notables: Weezer, Meat Loaf, Nicki Minaj (unfortunately accompanied by will.i.am.), Mavis Staples (fortunately accompanied by Jeff Tweedy), and Antony and the Johnsons. Well done, late night.
