New York’s influential post-hardcore band Rival Schools are back with their first album in almost a decade. Pedals is due to be released on March 8th, 2011, via Photo Finish/Atlantic Records. To whet appetites, a deluxe digital single, “Shot After Shot”, will be released on November 14th through iTunes.

“Shot After Shot” picks up where the band left off: vocals you can shout along to, crunching guitars, and propulsive grooves. You can check out the video that accompanies the single below.

The new material marks the return of Walter Schreifels, Ian Love, Cache Tolman, and Sam Siegler, who reunited in 2008 after a 2003 split that left behind a critically acclaimed debut, United By Fate, and a rumored second album that never materialized.
