“I have some ideas that I might have to act upon. One of them is to open a taqueria in Glasgow. There’s no decent Mexican food in Glasgow. And I’ve had this idea for a while, to open a Belle & Sebastian taquería. You’re laughing, but I’m about to get serious about this. Because this could be the thing that allows me to carry on doing music — to serve a decent taco.”

— In an ongoing discussion series about how money works in various people’s lives, Belle & Sebastian frontman Belle & Sebastian tells NPR his career backup plan. Of course, Murdoch wouldn’t be the first high-profile musician to enter the field of taco distribution.

In other news, Belle & Sebastian’s new album/one of our top 20 buys to end the year, Write About Love, hits stores next Tuesday. Stream the band’s new live video for the song “I Want The World To Stop” below.
