On Monday, The Syndicate — along with yours truly — kicked off another CMJ Music Marathon with the 12th annual Conflict of Interest kick-off party. Nada Surf headlined, Reggie Watts and Bo Burnham dished the jokes, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., Oh Land, and Kitten proved their buzz band status. Plus, there were drinks named after Bob Dylan — “Mr. Tambourine Man” was my personal favorite, Dylan-themed karaoke, and enough Kind Bars to get you through the winter. In case you missed it or just want to reminisce, read our review here and watch the above video, which features movie image highlights of this year’s festivities. Hat tip to Sami Jarroush for putting it all together.
