Zion I is certainly a group that doesn’t know how to take a break. Since their debut in 2000, the hip-hop duo has released six full-length albums along with several mixtapes. Now, their seventh full-length LP, Atomic Clock, is ready to drop on November 9th through Gold Dust Media.
While the Oakland duo combined traditional boom-bap and electronica on last year’s The Takeover, they’re looking to move in a new direction for their latest effort. Atomic Clock will blend moody, emotional music with reggae and dub. Also expect the words of rapper Zumbi to be more instinctive, creating brutally honest lyrics. On the production end of things, Amp Live recruited a live band to expand on, or even redo, beats he already came up with.
