David Bowie’s wife says he has no future music plans

Certain married couples have a tendency of finishing each other’s sentences. What about one finishing the other’s career?

In a recent interview with Contact Music (via Spin), Iman, aka the super model wife of David Bowie, crushed what little hope there was of the music legend returning to a full-time music career. The model, who has been married to Bowie for 18 years, is quoted as saying, “He’ll decide when he wants to come back,” adding, “He’s a painter, he does sculpture, and he’s a dad to our 10-year-old daughter so I think his life is full.”

Bowie, likely occupied with the task of finishing his massive archival book entitled Bowie: Object, and totally having a full life, has yet to comment on his future plans in music (or lack thereof) himself. Though, taking into account that he hasn’t released an album in seven years, and hasn’t actually performed since he took the stage at an Alicia Keys charity event back in 2006, Iman’s assertion doesn’t seem very far off.
