Jessica Lea Mayfield announces new album, Tell Me

Following her remarkable debut With Blasphemy So Heartfelt, Jessica Lea Mayfield will once again team up with The Black Keys’ moonlighting producer Dan Auerbach for her second LP, Tell Me, due out February 8th on Nonesuch Records.

Mayfield first got her start singing backup for The Black Keys on their 2008 album Attack & Release. Auerbach and Nonesuch took a liking to her and helped her release her first album at the tender age of 19. Now Mayfield, all of 21, will once again explore that bluesy tones that she’s honed over the last couple years after touring alongside of similar acts such as The Avett Brothers, Ray LaMontagne, Band of Horses and, of course, The Black Keys.

You can pre-order the album here, and get a sample of the Aueurbach production with the track  ”Our Hearts Are Wrong”, which you can download for free below. Tell me that track doesn’t want to make you be her Everlasting Light. Also, check out Mayfield on the rest of her tour supporting Justin Townes Earl in December.
