This is potentially THE biggest week in late night in the year 2010. As we all know, Conan O’Brien was tragically forced off the air by NBC. But this week marks his defiant return. CoCo has signed on with TBS as a major “Cee-Lo Green” to NBC and in a way, Jay Leno. We realize that he is on cable, which, in these trying times you may not have access to, but we’re going to go ahead and include him in the LBL’s upcoming because he brings quality music every night. For instance, this week he’ll kick things off with a Jack White solo performance, followed later in the week with appearances by Soundgarden and Fistful of Mercy. Welcome back, Conan.
In other news, the rest of the hosts seemed to have stepped up their games, possibly to match Conan’s triumphant arrival. I’m not kidding. We’ll be bombarded with performances by Jonsi (who we hear is great live), Robyn, The Walkmen, Kings of Leon, reggae legends Toots and the Maytals, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, N.E.R.D., Cee-Lo Green, Snoop Dogg, Bruno Mars, and last, but certainly not least Neil Diamond. Did anybody else just let out an involuntary pre-pubescent squeal?
Heres your Late Night Lobotomy.
Better luck next week!

Stay tuned, folks!
