Much to the delight of females my age who used to fangirl the everliving hell out of New Kids On the Block and Backstreet Boys when we were but young pre-teens, the two bands are co-headlining a tour next summer. Squee! Inevitable childhood regression in the venue! Anyway. As would be expected, fans surged to buy tickets as soon as they were made available. Such a surge, in fact, that the overwhelming demand has caused the bands to schedule additional tour dates.
An impressive number of eighteen extra shows have been added to the tour, including second dates in Chicago and Toronto (which had its first show sold out in just a few minutes). The boy bands’ journey goes cross-country with some stops in Canada, starting in Connecticut on June 2nd and wrapping up in Vancouver on July 9th.
Tickets for the five already available shows are either sold out are getting close to that. If you’re gunning for these newly announced dates, however, tickets go on sale for the majority of them on December 11th. The three exceptions are Los Angeles (November 22nd), San Jose (December 18th), and Vancouver (December 13th).
