50 Cent launches G Note Records

After being sued for copyright infringement and investing in what will undoubtedly be Vitamin Water 2.0, rapper/mogul 50 Cent has decided his next project will actually involve music. According to HipHopDX.com, the G-Unit head has announced he will launch a new subsidiary of his empire with G Note Records.

The label will apparently focus less on the gangster rap of acts like Fiddy himself and recent G-Unit Records departees Young Buck and The Game, but instead on more pop and R&B acts. The label’s first signee is Arizona rapper Hot Rod, whose first single, the dance pop-esque “Dance With Me”, is available below. Dance music and 50 Cent should go together like cultural sensitivity and 50 Cent.

As always, stay tuned for more news on Mr. Cent and the label as it’s announced.
