With Christmas in the air, we can all get overly excited. Some of us overreact and shake our Christmas gifts, while others have too much Eggnog at the office holiday party. However, that all dims in comparison to the yuletide jollies apparently taking over some rappers.
In just the course of a few days, Ja Rule was sentenced to two years in prison, while Gucci Mane and Wacka Flocka Flame got raided. Adding his name to Santa’s naughty list this time is DMX, who today was sentenced to one year in prison in Arizona. Well, at least Sheriff Joe will give him some pink boxers for Xmas.
According to Pollstar, DMX was sentenced for violating his parole last month after being kicked out of a court-mandated drug treatment program. He also failed a drug test and was driving on a suspended license. The 39-year-old rapper, born Earl Simmons, was put on probation last year after assaulting a jail guard with a food tray and using a fake name to avoid a $7,500 hospital bill.
