The National contribute theme song for Sundance film Win Win

More Sundance meets music news: The National are recording a new song which will serve as the theme for the forthcoming film Win Win, reports The Playlist. Directed by Thomas McCarthy (The Visitor, Up) and starring Paul Giamatti and Amy Ryan, the film tells the tale of “disheartened attorney Mike Flaherty (Giamatti), who moonlights as a high school wrestling coach, stumbles across a star athlete through some questionable business dealings while trying to support his family. Just as it looks like he will get a double payday, the boy’s mother shows up fresh from rehab and flat broke, threatening to derail everything.” The title of The National’s contribution is not yet known, but since Win Win is set to debut at next month’s Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, we should find out soon enough. 2011 = 2010.
