It was not a night to remember for UK songwriter Damon Gough (aka Badly Drawn Boy). Seemingly frustrated with a slew of technical problems, Gough dedicated the better part of his Thursday night performance at Los Angeles’ Troubadour assaulting the crowd with expletives. West Coast Sound quotes Gough as saying stuff like “Shut up, you stupid bitch!” in response to a woman who told him he sounded great, and “Shut up! Otherwise I’ll get off the stage all together! I’m going to ruin my career tonight! I don’t give a fuck. I want to go home to my kids.” There’s a bunch of other lines. After a 15-minute intermission, Gough ultimately returned to the stage, where he then went on to perform without incident before apologizing to those present for his behavior. “This night has been a complete disaster for me… I wish I could turn back the clock and start over.” Video evidence above.
