If you haven’t been checking daily for Gorillaz to fill your Advent Calendar, you’re missing out on lots of pointless but cool little treats like print-out Gorillaz masks, 2D flash games, and now a not-so-new music video.
The latest addition to the Advent Calendar was a video for Plastic Beach track “Welcome to the World of the Plastic Beach”, which features Snoop Dogg and the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble (via 2dopeboyz). Anyone who has seen Gorillaz live this year will recognize this as the backing visual for the song, but now it’s on YouTube so you can incorporate Snoop’s decidedly gangsta facial expressions into your listening experience.
That’s pretty much all you get; there are no animated characters in this clip, no storyline, none of that stuff. It is simply a well-dressed Doggfather on a lighthouse posing, grooving, rapping, and doing whatever else he does that makes him Snoop.
