After weeks of speculation and fake lineups, Third Twin rumors, and “I’d probably poop my pants if ____ played Coachella” message boards threads, the 2011 lineup for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is finally upon us. According to KROQ’s @Iggnasty, the bill will be officially unveiled tomorrow at 5 p.m. PST on KROQ radio, meaning it will probably leak sometime in the hours before then, meaning it’s time for a CoS annual tradition — the Coachella announcement eve open thread. This is the part where we take one more glance at the current rumors, then discuss what’s true, what isn’t, and what act we hope Goldenvoice snags the last minute.
Update: Per Randall Roberts, LA Times Music Editor: “just heard from a very reliable source that the rumored 5 p.m. announcement is bogus. #coachella.”
