Excluding the extenuating circumstances leading to the tour’s origins, Conan O’Brien‘s “Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television” North American tour was easily one of the best things about 2010. Just from a musical standpoint, the endeavor was a never-ending extravaganza of surprises, ranging from Radiohead covers and Eddie Vedder and Vampire Weekend guest appearances to a spot at Bonnaroo and even a trip to Jack White’s Third Man Record studios. Needless to say, a film documenting the tour will probably prove to be one of the best decisions of 2011, but you can find out for yourself when the documentary entitled Can’t Stop premieres at South by Southwest in March.
While there’s no word on the film’s exact contents (hopefully Jack’s included), according to Undercover.com, director Rodman Flender captured the 32-date trek from front and back stage.
The film portion of South by Southwest runs from March 11-19 in Austin, TX. A Simon Pegg and Seth Rogen-starring sci-fi comedy called Paul and that movie in which Mel Gibson runs around with a puppet are also set to receive their premieres during the festival.
