Its cold outside, but were going to look towards L.A. disco-pop duo, Kisses, to help us remember what summer actually felt like. Their debut LP The Heart of the Nightlife was nine tracks of guilt free dance music, but clocking in at just under 40 minutes, it was only a matter of time before some extended remixes started appearing.
Active Child tried their hand at remixing Bermuda, but now Ultracity a Swedish producing team has taken Kisses Midnight Lover and turned it into a nine-and-a-half minute house behemoth. The remix explores the originals guitar line and adds twinkling keys over a nearly two-minute intro before finally interjecting Jesse Kivels vocals in between extended dance breaks, mellow disco chords, and sweeping synth. It’s always good to have have some music on when you eat your breakfast, and its not a bad way to spend ten minutes, so go ahead and take a spin below.
