Together, Detroit musicians Daniel Zott and Josh Epstein are Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. With their debut Horse Power EP, the two melded brilliantly the sounds of Motown and the bleeps and bloops of drum machines and samplers. Now the duo is kicking it into high gear with the release of their debut full-length It’s a Corporate World on April 26th (via Quite Scientific Records).
Like any great pairing, the record is all about synergy, with Epstein saying in a press release the record’s all about “two individuals existing in separate lives, and the ideas that can form or possibilities that can open up when one person starts to rely on another with a genuine sense of trust and mutual respect.” Awwww.
Along with the LP, the record also comes with their Horse Power EP, the My Love Is Easy: Remixes Pt. 1 (which features remixes from Prussia and Deatsro), and (what record would be complete without) Chroma-Depth 3D glasses. Check out the band on touring starting March 1st, including stops at South by Southwest, and select dates with Tapes ‘n Tapes.
