They might not boast a guest appearance from The Boss, but celtic-punk rockers Flogging Molly are gearing up for the release of their own new studio album this May. Produced by Ryan Hewitt (Red Hot Chili Peppers) and recorded in Asheville, NC, LP #5’s theme is said to center around the “economic disaster in the U.S., and the effects it has had on the population around the world.” The album still lacks a title and exact release date (mid-May, tentatively), but right now, you can download its lead single, “Don’t Shut ‘Em Down”, for the price of an email address. Ahead of the release, Flogging Moggy will embark on their annual “Green 17” tour. Spanning February 8th to March 19th, the band will then follow up the trek with an appearance at Coachella on April 15th. Tickets are available via our Concert Calendar.
