If U2-Jay-Z wasn’t a good enough reason to book a flight down under, then perhaps this tour will: As previously reported, Tenacious D is set to record a new album in 2011 and according to frontman Jack Black, the band will support the release by touring Australia with Foo Fighters. While no specific details were mentioned, Black mentioned the upcoming endeavor in a recent interview with Mexican newspaper Uno Noticas (this time we got it professionally translated). He also noted that D’s forthcoming album — which he described as “dark” — will be titled The Rise of the Phoenix and will include a song titled “Señorita”.
