Germans say Arcade Fire film Scenes From The Suburbs coming to DVD

As we’ve said in the past, relying on Google Translate as a legit news source requires the user to do so with a grain of salt. However, it’s hard not to get outright excited with some of the stories that break once we all can read German in the King’s English. In previous announcements, it was Radiohead and Rage Against The Machine; now, thanks to Spex (which is apparently the “Magazin für Popkultur”), Arcade Fire takes das spotlight with news regarding a DVD release of their Spike Jonze-directed film, Scenes From The Suburbs.

The film, which is also slated to priemiere at the Berlin International Film Festival in February, will, according to the piece, “be released in May as a DVD in an expanded edition of the third Arcade Fire album.” And, as if that weren’t enough to say “danka” about, there’s plans for a photo book as well as some new songs.

The band’s representation has yet to respond to our requests for comment.
