Pearl Jam set to release two reissues, movie, hot pad

Turning 20 is fun. Just ask Pearl Jam. Eddie Vedder and Co. released their debut album, Ten, two decades ago, and while any band has right to celebrate being around for that long, PJ is doing it in style. They’re already throwing a big-ass party “somewhere in the middle of the country” this summer, but the Seattle-based rock legends are throwing even more party favors into the mix.

After kicking off the year-long celebration with the release of Live on Ten Legs, the group’s official website has revealed that the springtime with see the boys putting out deluxe reissues of their 1993 and 1994 albums – Vs. and Vitalogy. Vedder – who is also designing hot pads these days – then embarks on a month-long, solo tour down under before the band releases an official PJ documentary, Pearl Jam Twenty.

If the prospect of getting to see a Cameron Crowe-directed movie about them still isn’t enough, then PJ have also promised to give us a book and soundtrack album with the film. It all makes us feel really special, but we’re still holding out hope for the band’s own brand of Pearl Jam Sandwich Jelly. No word if that will ever happen, but you can check out the  itinerary for Vedder’s solo venture below.
